Default Keyword research

Can anyone suggest what is the best way of finding keywords when you promote a website?

If you do not know King Aaron, then was there much point in replying.

I use to use the keyword Overture tool, not sure if that is still operational though as I have not researched keywords for over 2 years now.

Talking Google keyword tool

Hi,

I use the google keyword tool which I find really good. I can't post the link because of the forum rules but you'll find it in a search for google adwords - keyword tool external.

Be aware though that it only shows the popularity of searches in google. You should research for keywords based on where you plan to advertise. Mainly because a popular search in google may not be as popular on MSN - so you won't get traffic from it on MSN.

Start researching broadly and then narrow down the words based on your product and the popularity of the keyword - you want low advertiser competition and a volume of up to 30,000 searches.

Does that help?

Tania.

You can post the link if you want to unless it's an affiliate referral link then you can't.

Google adwords is the best one. Try also to think a keyword that has a lesser competitors. So that your site will rank quickly by search engines.
