you don't always need to publish technical related articles, if it is not your niche and you don't actually know much about it, instead, we should come up with things that are interesting, entertaining, humorous or just plain honest life stories.. all was based on your writing style..
you are only focusing on one niche mate try to broaden your resources..

Yes, if you publish articles make sure they are unique content or else they will not count and be considered duplicate content.

I'm not so sure about how effective banner ads work. After all, we've developed banner blindness. And ad block programs can be 'armed' in many internet browsers.

Banner ads offered as links by affiliate programs can work, if your site fits the product being sold and if the banner is placed where it's visible and related to the content on the site.
