I have heard that some directory linkings might actually hurt your ranking. Is it correct?

if you have money to spent Yahoo directory best out there

May be that can help you.

Bet you will have to wait for 6 months before your site can be moderated for approval and approved if qualified in any of thos aforementioned directories.

You are not suggestd only submit your site to high pr directories, submit it to all pr directories.
