What is a Niche

Hi

I hope i dont sound like too much of a D#^k but i have no idea of what a niche is can someone please explain.

Niche is something you refer to as a specialized market. It is usually a market that caters to a specific group of people with special needs. Therefore it is very targetted and usually comes in smaller groups. Smaller than the size of a general market.

Niche can also be defined as the target group/market you think/feel will be impacted the most. An example would be normal mp3 files v/s mp3 audio for country music or heavy metal. Hope this helps.

Yes you can. infact I am reminded of a picture that outlines just what you said. Have 1 blog each for a niche that then drives traffic to a bigger site that is a mix of all niche products or something like it. Will post the link as soon as I can remember where I saw it.

A niche market is the subset of the market on which a specific product is focusing on; Therefore the market niche defines the specific product features aimed at satisfying specific market needs, as well as the price range, production quality and the demographics that is intended to impact.

Every single product that is on sale can be defined by its niche market. As of special note, the products aimed at a wide demographics audience, with the resulting low price (due to Price elasticity of demand), are said to belong to the Mainstream niche, in practice referred only as Mainstream or of high demand. Narrowed demographics though lead to elevated price because of the same principles.

to put it simply, in a deaprtment , there are numerous things on display
and u are intend to be one of the slaeman ,then the product u are willing to sell should be your niche --which has its own targeted custmors

A niche is a certain segment of the population where you intend to concentrate your efforts. By concentrating on one niche you are more focused. Niche marketing is the most targeted marketing there is, and with proper research, can be the most profitable.
