well, there may be spammers as well as the people contributing and sharing really useful information through blog commenting.You need to manage properly. Do not spam useful information sharing.

This is a fact that people do spam but you can not turn it off.Because you also need comments.At least more traffic is coming to you.

I've found that the comment spam was overwhelming, so I turned off comments on my blog.

I see that a lot of web sites use Disqus - has anyone tried this ? Does it automatically reduce spam, or do you still need to do a lot of manual labour ?
