using blogs to direct traffic

I see people offering their services to build blogs on these free blog services with your keyword or niche. I guess the idea is to redirect traffic to your main website in that niche.

Do these free blog services get more traffic than your own website?
Is this a good way to get more qualified traffic to the main site?

These are a good way to get traffic because these blog services are considered authoritative by the search engines.

And yes, it is a good method of getting indexed and getting traffic.

If you speak in the mass numbers, blog companies ban these types of sites, since they are considered like Mfa's, and it is blog spamming.
Although indexing is excellent through that.

On a SERP result, individual domains will stand first - most of the time. Especially if your domain is old and content is updated frequently.

These are helpful yea as they are quick and easy to do, free (what more do you want) and as mentioned you can submit them to directories etc to get you traffic.

Worth spending abit of time to make a blog related to your site to try divert users to the website and hopefully come back in the future.

How does a site qualify as a MFA? Is it about the ratio of unique content to ads? What if you create a new blog and put the allowed ads on but had very little content? I know, not a fantastic idea but would it be seen as a MFA?
