Yes, placing any types of links on your site will drank "link juice" from your site (unless you use the rel="nofollow" tag).

Just yesterday I got rid of about 30 low PR reciprocal links that I had on my site. My number is still rather high (over 50) but I narrowed them down to PR3 or higher. I keep reading that google frowns upon link trading as it allows the possibility of paying for links which is a practice they are trying to tone down. After the next google toolbar PR change I will remove more links from my site that aren't improving. Your link juice is important and shouldn't be given away, especially if Google is trying to devalue it.

My site has quite a lot of outbound links. I will try to remove the links with low PR or without PR. Hopefully my site will have a good improvement in the next update of Google.
