Default Using youtube to market?

Have any of you used youtube to market your business? If so can you show me what you did and what you thought of the results?

I personally haven't used it but I've seen videos from the big affiliate "gurus" all over You Tube, including that Rich Jerk guy that actually had some mildly entertaining videos. Everyone uses You Tube to market anymore, from major movie companies to auto dealers to even Coke and Pepsi (I have seen straight to You Tube commercials they have produced). What type of business are you trying to market?

I think YouTube can be a good marketing avenue considering its huge traffic. However your video clips should be really entertaining. I for one avoid email spam in the same way I avoid video spam.

You can but they have banned putting url's in comments. So now you have to do it through your user name or put up a video that can be subscribed to by other visitors. I do it and it works for me. Viral is the next big thing.

I think youtube can make your business stronger, youtube is the only source in which you can show slides and toppers of your business, You can upload a video and place the code given in youtube on your site for better growth.

Not a direct market on youtube, i mostly uploaded my videos to youtube so i can later show them on site to generate more leads, so does this counts? =)

Its a great way to market provided you have the right idea and the correct implementation.

Coupled that with some luck and you'll be getting truck loads of traffic.

I've seen people uploading music videos to YouTube and then paying people to comment, rate digg and stumble the video for around $0.50. This then will increase exposure to their product/service

It all depends on the type of product and if it is targeted to Youtube users. What is the point of doing an ads and placing it on youtube if the targeted market does not use the internet?
But it is a great to get traffic.

Hi

If you have a Video Site or Video Blog then YouTube is one of the best ways to advertise your site ! Simply try to add on your videos texts which link to your site and I am quite sure you will have an increase in traffic !

Make sure your videos are not copyrighted as you may have some troubles !

Good Luck

Olgi

youtube is always good for marketing because you can easily find and see in the video what you actually buy ,its also help you to sell when your customers see full detailed video of your product.

I remember a blending company that had videos of it crushing gold balls with the blender, it was a huge marketing idea. It gave them huge marketing exposure because many people though it was weird and spoke about it.
