I have a dating site that has so many girls in fact to many.The ratio for male to female is crazy.
I thought when starting the site it would be hard to get girls to join and the men would be there in the hundreds,,how wrong i was.
Any ideas on how to get men to join?

That is funny. The problem is "fake" girls. Girls who are just nigerian scammers. Do you have a message filter system to look for keywords?

May be you can tell some people you know to create profiles at your site to give an impression of activity. And you can consider starting an affiliate program... anything like giving special features to other members who already have registered with you. Also, consider using PPC for getting some initial traffic. Other than this use your creativity, viral campaigns to promote your web site, you can make use of free viral widget from SocialTwist to spread the word about your site.

I would also suggest an affiliate program. But not adding the lesbian section right away, im sure those ladies were looking for men if they signed up right away. Try social networking as well, do everything you can to get the word out also by blogging as well.

I think, running an affiliate program would help you resolve the issue. However, you can also try writing an article on your dating service .

yes it's right., if your site is running out of "man" then try to forward your other clients to another dating site and they do the same to you. this is called affiliate program or negotiating with other sites that has a same service

I would make the registration a little bit harder and provide more proof of identity. This also will help people feel safer.

I would suggest u try social networking site to ad your site. The huge traffic will help u a lot, hope u will find enough member there!
