Default buying links?

Is buying links on high PR site worthy? Can it help in getting more traffic? I have seen that many high PR site owner sell their adspace on the site. I am planning to spend some money for advertising my site.

Subodh you should focus on buying links/adverts at sites which are related to your niche and have "high traffic". These days most people buy links for PR, rather than traffic.

AffiliateSeeking will become famous soon enough
Do you mean purchasing links where you pay per click or just links where you pay a monthly or annual fee for them?

I'm going to guess he means buying a monthly fee hard link. I think it is a better idea than buying traffic in bulk from a traffic reseller, but like yogesh said only if the site you are buying the link from is related to your niche. If the site is reputable they should be able to give you an estimate of how much traffic to expect from the link each month.

Buying links can sometimes help if you want to higher you PR but it wont assure you traffic as google Page rank changes often and it can place you site on 4th page, than on 7th without any reason.

i think that buying links is a nice way of increasing your page rank.

i have never used link-trading sites like hxxx://text-link-ads.com/ or similar. (althought i have sold some links there, there are many people who buy links like crazy)

in my opinion it is better to contact the webmaster directly and ask for a link-trade or deal

If it's a relevant site to your niche, then yes, as others said, go for it.. Otherwise, I don't think it's too helpful. There's obviously some benefit to directory listings, etc. also

Well if you are just interested in increasing your websites PR then just buy high PR links for your site and let your websites PR increase. But if you want traffic too then buy links from a site with good PR and traffic.

Buying links can be very helpful, if you buy a link on a popular garden site for example and you have a gardening site with related anchor text, they may follow over to your site and browse around.

Also the higher PR the better so it will give you a bonus in that area too so i would say its definately worth doing.

You just have to find the right links

If you want to buy links buy them form high pr sites that offer related content to your sites.
Alternatively if you want traffic focus on sites that have high traffic
