Adding a CPM ad to blog to make extra money?

Right now I have google adsense on my blog which is fine for me. However, is it possible to combine it with a small CPM ad to make money from visitor impressions?Lemme make sure I have this right. CPM ads pay per 1000 visitors. If I place an ad at the very bottom of the page then it will count whenever someone visits my page. Then once I reach 1000 page views it will pay me some small amount right? If I make more money it sounds good to me! If anyone can confirm this that would be great. Thanks!

Make sure that you do not include much of google adsense on your blog as google may penalize your blog in the search engine. With google giving priority to content it has become necessary to include less ads.

CPM is good but choose any good advertising agency so that they pay on time.
