Default Stumble upon

I have also been encountering webmasters mentioning "stumble upon" . I don't really know how this really works in so far as marketing your website is concerned. Maybe someone can enlighten me on this.

From what I understand Stumble Upon is a toolbar you download and every time you hit the button it takes you to some new site that has been voted on, or stumbled, by a certain number of people. It's just another in a long line of new social networking sites that can bring you traffic if you have the quality content to keep them coming back.

Also you might want to join a stumble upon exchange team, vote for them, they vote for you, you both get higher ranking, some kind of an exchange team.

How can anyone make any money this way. If a site is launched randomly, it cannot be very targetted. How would the site owner make any conversions.

I really can't quite understand the concept. It does not seem profitable to me BUT then again, I might have missed the whole point - lol

While it may not appear to be targeted, StumbleUpon users set their interests and let StumbleUpon know what kind of sites they like, and what they don't. Obviously, the websites will then receive only relevant traffic in most cases, and therefore, it is targeted to a certain extent. If you like the site you stumble, you'll surely return there

Stumbleupon is a good Social Bookmarking site.It is the only site that brought me 1000+ visitors in a month.Well all you have to do is keep writing some good articles and stumbling them. You keep generating traffic as people come to know about your site.

My friend stumbled my site and all at one point I had about 40 people on my site. If you join a exchange group you can get heaps of stumbles which will get you more traffic!

I had never heard of this until one of my sites starting getting people coming from it, so i looked into it. Basically what i found is that its a great way to get traffic IF your content it good and users like it.

The site i got the best results was a exotic car site, and it was the picture/video gallery which got the traffic, everyone likes looking at funny/crazy pictures so it was viable.
