Blog Traffic Tips
Here are some blog traffic tips that will help you gain traffic faster!
In order to start a successful blog online it is important to choose a good name. The name of your website should reflect what your website is about. Choose a name that is easy to remember. A name that easily identifies with what your website is all about.
Picture
Make an icon or add some sort of picture to your blog. An icon or picture builds recognition. A picture of yourself somewhere on your website is not a bad idea at all. It is very well likely that your followers will gain your trust and will be curious about your work around the net when they see it. You can lure people to your work around the web when they see that “trustworthy” face or icon. They will easily recognize your work and will be curious about what you have to say. People may read what your have to say or follow your links just because of the fact they recognize you.
Quality Content
Creating unique quality content is the most important aspect of your blog. Ask yourself, what benefits your blog provides that others do not. What topics would your readers like to see on your blog? Keep great content and you will drive returning viewers.
Regular Interval Posting
Google wants to give it’s readers the most up to date content. It is important that you post content up on a regular basis. Google search engine crawlers will take notice and it is a sure way to increasing your search engine rankings. Don’t forget to submit your link to Google and other famous search engines like Yahoo.
Keyword Optimized Secret
You must market your website in order to increase exposure and gain followers. A trick you can use to increase search engine rankings is to optimize your content with low competitive keywords.
Low competitive keywords don’t get as much traffic as high competitive keyword but are easier to rank high in the search engines. Although they are not searched as often as high competitive keywords, ranking top for low competitive keywords will get you a lot of traffic. The great part is that it is easy to rank high with low competitive keywords. With multiple top rankings for low competitive keywords, you can get thousands and thousands of traffic to your website.
Make the title of your article from the low competitive keywords you find. Make your content dense with low competitive keywords and try to add them at the end of your article as well.
Article Submission
Submit your articles to article directories. Article marketing is great for consistent targeted traffic.
Keyword Placement
Add keyword tags to your posts. Also find keywords that display your links in the search engines. Add those keywords resulting in your links as tags. This will improve your search engine rankings for those keywords.
Online Communities
Participate in online communities. Post links to social media sites to get more traffic to your website. The more you participate in these social media sites, the more followers you are likely to gain, and reach out to more and more people.
Schedule
Create a schedule to execute a list of important actions on a daily basis. This will dramatically increase your visitors and help you keep track of what’s working and what’s not. A progress chart will help keep your motivation high. The more you write down your ideas and thoughts, the less stress they will hold in your brain. You can remember them when the time comes and forget them till later.

Simplify. Pay attention to complex issues in your field of work. It may be a big long publication that is hard to wade through or a concept that is hard to grasp. Reference it and make a shorter “for dummies” version with your own lessons learned and relevant tips. When doing this, I have been surprised to find that the simplified post will appear before the more complex version in search results. Perhaps this is why it results in increased traffic; people looking for more help or clarification on the subject will land on your blog.

I'm suprised nobody mentioned it but Twitter and Facebook are two of the best ways to drive traffic to your blog posts.
I don't even bother with optimizing for Google search anymore because social media drives so much more high quality traffic if done properly.

According me domain name is not so much important, the important thing is your presentation like your content, blog design, blog function etc.
For v7n domain name is not related to niche but everyone knows that this is webmaster forum.

Blog commenting is really worth if you make valuable comments. It is better to post 10 valuable comments than 30 nonsense ones.
How do you write your comments? You'll want to follow these rules to have your comment approved:
* Be polite towards the post author and readers.
* Use a language that everyone could easily understand.
* Check the spelling of your comment.
* Include relevant links only.
* Show your stance on the post.
…and finally the most important rule
* Only comment if you can contribute to the discussion. Just don't say "Good post". Be sure to write something useful in the comment section. A thought provoking comment or at least a meaningful comment will get you more traffic than the two word comments.

I do agree. First and foremost thing is to give quality content to the blog and update it regularly and that is most vital thing to keep in mind while running any blog. And then you can promote it by using various tactics.

Blogs are sometimes considered a source of unreliable information; therefore, you should consider several guidelines in posting your blogs.
1. Makes sure to check your facts before posting.
2. If you copy and paste information on your blog be sure to check the copyright laws. Provide credit for any resource you use.
3. Think about the implications of what you are posting. Choose your words carefully.
4. Put limitations on the type of comments that are placed on your blog. Don't permit offensive or embarrassing comments.

The blogosphere is a big and busy world with over 100 million blogs and growing. How do you attract visitors to your blog? Follow these simple tips to drive traffic to your blog.
1. Write Well and Write Often
Frequently updating your blog with useful content is the first step to building your blog's audience. The content you write is what will keep readers coming back for more. Make sure you have something meaningful to say to them and say it often to maintain their interest and keep them loyal.
2. Submit Your Blog to Search Engines
Get on the radar screen for the popular search engines such as Google and Yahoo! by submitting your blog's URL to them. Most search engines provide a 'Submit' link (or something similar) to notify the search engine of your new blog, so those search engines will crawl it and include your pages in their results.
3. Use and Update Your Blogroll
By adding links to sites you like in your blogroll, the owners of those blogs will find your blog and will be likely to add a reciprocal link in their blogrolls. It's an easy way to get the link to your blog in front of many readers on other blogs. The hope is that some of those readers will click on the link to your blog on the other blogs' blogrolls and find your content interesting and enjoyable turning them into loyal readers.
4. Harness the Power of Comments
Commenting is a simple and essential tool to increase your blog's traffic. First, respond to comments left on your blog to show your readers that you value their opinions and draw them into a two-way conversation. This will increase reader loyalty.
5. Syndicate Your Blog's Content with an RSS Feed
Setting up an RSS feed button on your blog makes it easy for your loyal readers to not just read your blog but also know when you publish new content.
6. Use Links and Trackbacks
Links are one of the most powerful parts of your blog. Not only are links noticed by search engines, but they also act as a tap on the shoulder to other bloggers who can easily identify who is linking to their sites. Linking helps to get you noticed by other bloggers who are likely to investigate the sites that are linking to them. This may lead them to become new readers of your blog or to add links to your blog from theirs.
7. Tag Your Posts
It takes a few extra seconds to add tags to each of your blog posts, but it's worth the time in terms of the additional traffic tags can drive to your blog. Tags (like links) are easily noticed by search engines. They're also key to helping readers find your blog when they perform searches on popular blog search engines such as Technorati.
