Link bait and link wheels mean getting back links from popular article sites like squidoo, hubpages and few others sites. i have no clarity about but its something like that.

Link bait is content on your site to which other sites link because they want to, not because you ask them to. Traditionally, links are hard to get, requiring you to sacrifice your first born child (and at least link back, which nullifies their value in some search engines.) But with link bait, you “bait” your content and sit back and wait. Of course, you can be a little proactive …

Write something controversial
Be the first to write the latest news in your niche

Write some funny humor
Make an interesting picture

Make a theme, plugin or piece of software
Make a tool that others can put on their sites but that links to you
Make a joke about a known person
Make a resource that is just in time for a major event
Write an outrageous theory and back it up with logics

Its something which we use to attract visitor to the site. It is placing link on the site that has got some resources that looks naturals and the visitor click through it.
