Teenagers are now Screenagers?

The latest reports indicate that now, especially throughout the summer months when kids are out of school, teenagers spend an average of nearly ten hours (nine hours and 54 minutes is the exact average) on some sort of screen - computer, gaming console or TV. That is about 4 solid months a year. That is an incredible amount. Are you (or do you have) a teenager?

Would you say this is an indicative or fair representation of your time?

I think this is not solely applicable to teenagers, rather to most people nowadays because of the so-called "digital age." Most of the tasks that we do everyday require the use of technology and this could probably the reason why.

Nice post, I would say that, I would expect the statistic to be high, but I am surprised that it is quite that high. It can't be good that teenagers are spending that much time in front of a screen. I don't have kids, but if I did I think I'd restrict how much time they spent doing such activities. The problem seems to be that kids don't spend anytime outside anymore, something we would do as much as possible when we were kids.

I would say that that's me even though I'm not a teenager anymore. I like the new term though "Screenagers".

Yeah, that all sounds sad, but there is an opinion that at times it's better for them to watch TV or playing computer games, than putting themselves into troubles on the street.I really doubt it, a child with good upbringing may not be controlled by parents
