Default Why should I close business officially even though I am no longer doing business

If you will not close your business with the state, your corporation will be considered as a legal entity and accordingly you will be liable to pay taxes and other returns thereof. So it's highly recommended that you should close your business as per the instructions and rules defined by the state and get your certificate of dissolution.

I also was surprised - I would like some advice on this situation. I guess the advice is to shut up shop or get charged taxes. Any more advice?

Well, if there are no chances to survive, then it's better to close the company.

Why should I pay taxes when my business is not running and gaining any income?
