How big is the proxy business

For all of you guys who are into proxies, how many daily uniques do you get per one proxy ?
This business is getting huge day by day, and i would like to know how much traffic you can get from it.

I just started and I get an average of 100+ uniques and increasing everyday. Its definently a big business.

I have three and thats for each 100 is for my newest lauch while my oldest(1month) is getting 300+. Also with proxies you can get 300 uniques during the week and then 10 during the weekend. Also because proxies dont get alot of use during the summer its a good time to start since a shared host could handle summer traffic.

The proxy business is huge, in a bad way. if you were to start a proxy now, it would be 100x harder to "get it out there" then it would 1-2 years ago. Its saturated ,almost like myspace resource sites.

Proxy business is not going to end soon.
But only new proxy make money till schools and other places block them
To get traffic on a proxy site is not hard and not easy
some main source are social networking sites and Proxy topsite.

I'm not owning any proxy right now and current time is not good for proxies because of School's holidays.

It is very easy to make $5/day from one proxy but the key with being succesful with proxies is having multiple proxies running on a dedicated server, that way if one site gets blocked you wont be out too much. You need a dedicated server once your sites get popular just because they use a bit of cpu.

For a start up proxy site, I think having a virtual private server may suffice. VPS is definitely cheaper to maintain than a dedicated server. However if traffic starts to swarm your server, hosting your proxy site on a dedicated server is a better option.
