Blogging?

Does anyone here do paid blogging? I wanted to know a little more about that if someone cared to share some info. What do you need to start?

I am interested in that as well. So far from what I can gather is just looking around at places like craigslist, indeed. those sites always have posting for blogger jobs. Try that and go from there.

I have blogs and I make money off them but Ive never been paid to post, though I am trying to try out payperpost.com if they ever fix their site.

Well, I don't know anything about blogging. So how do you start doing it and get paid? Do you have to host your own domain, etc.?

I think with the google blogger you get a sub domain given to you. I'm not 100% sure on this though as I have never done blogging either. Once you have your blog up you can then use payperpost or other similar sites so that you can get people asking you to blog about their site or something else with their site's links attached.

Ahh, I see. And what programs do you use for editing the layout and such (besides photoshop...I'm pretty experienced with graphic design)? I got an account with google blogger and I really don't like the basic beginner tools that they offer.

They also offer free sub-domain but you can also download there software and install it on your server and use own domain.

Wordpress is really hot in blogging right now !

Thanks for the info rajat and aaron. I will look into wordpress. It's just a little overwhelming to me...the things you have to do to start a blog. When I have time, I'll try to figure it all out.

There are a few was to get paid blogging,:
2 most known services is Payperpost and ReviewMe.

Or you can drop by problogger's blog, there's a section for blogging jobs.

As far as I know, payperpost.com offers blogging services and you get paid to write. You can always google and find such sites however beware of spam sites that doesn't pay rather cheat.

Wordpress doesn't allow any advertising, and blogspot only allows adsense. So how are you supposed to monetize your blogs if they don't allow ads? I apologize if this sounds like a stupid question, but I figure it wouldn't hurt to ask. I checked out payperpost and most jobs available do not allow you to use wordpress and blogspot.

If you want to make money with blogging you are going to have to invest in hosting, luckily its not that expensive I suggest the 6.99 plus GB1 as the coupon

He is talking about blogging for money which means write blog posts for someone for $$. He isnt talking about making money from his own blog

Actually, I'm a she. And i was talking about making money from my own blog...and writing blogs for other people for money. Anyway, I stumbled across this: www.jump12.com. I dunno if they're credible or not. Has anyone heard of them before. Anyway, I signed up for the free year of webhosting with a simon virtual card that has about 2 bucks on it. I'm awaiting an email with setup info. I hope this isn't a scam.
