Is adsense good for directories?

Hi guys,
I am wondering if adsense is good for directories? I have few free link directories with high traffic. I put adsense on their homepages. After about a month, I checked my adsense account and found out only 1 click from one of my directories!
So I do not think it is good idea to put adsense on it. I would change to put something else!
Do you have experiences with this?

The directory should have a good reputation. Some directories, especially the newer ones, may not have as much quality control as the more reputable directories. They build link popularity by including almost any site without putting a premium on the quality of the site.

I don't think its a good idea because people go to link directories just to submit their site. They do not bother browsing around or checking your banners. Try putting it in a blog.

i dont think so, it is good for directories because Google only allow low links websites.

I think it should work just fine . Try some new strategies for seo and to bring traffic . You said you had just 1 click. How many visits did you have that day?

ask yourself why the user would want to click on an ad in a directory site? what would they get from it? very little because almost no real people use directory sites, they are mainly just used by people who want links.

Adsense is to publish the website to earn more and more money to dispaly the the Google ads on their content pages in other hand the directory is just to submit their sites and get the good results of back links. So,adsence is not good for directory.

it's is good to put adsense as long as you maintain quality. I prefer adsense is great deal for article directories sites because you will have large content to search.

I do not think we can earn as much revenue by putting adsnse add on Directories because mostly these sites are visited by linkbuilders or webmasters and they only come for getting a free link and aware of adsense ads so they avoid to click on ads.
I suggest you to make some other sites and put ads their.

I have had a couple of directories but unfortunately i didn't get any good CTR just because audience was aware of adsense ads.

Yes it works if your Adsense settings are good like which type of ads you want to allow in your site and which page you are targeting for Adsense and size of ads which you allow to Google to show in your website if all things are good then defiantly you will get click on it.
