Default what do you consider for putting up a business

Now a days it is really hard to put up a new business. More like very risky. There should be a lot of preparations. Planning, goal setting etc. . How about you guys? what do you consider for putting up a business?

Agentsuperstore,

Risk is a relative word. Ive learned from a wise man once which spoke about risk, he said in similar words, "risk is a thing that is reduced when you study and educate yourself about the endeavor you are going to execute."

But you are in certain way right, nowadays the competition goes faster, acts faster, and you should be able to respond quick to problems. The first three questions Ive ask myself before continuing thinking about establishing any type of business is:

1) What do I offer?
2) Why people will buy my product and not the products/services from my competition?
3) Who will be my first buyer? These are the three basic questions I should be able to answer wisely.

Also, a business should include planning, goal setting, and all the things you have mentioned. In fact, all these things should be clearly state in the business plan you create. Yes, a business plan is a MUST! For sure, mostly every businessman tells you that things have occured different than projected in their business plans. The thing is that it doesnt matter. The businessplan is a guide for you, a detailed a guide, that will let you learn many things about the business you want to establish. Making financial projections, defining strategies, all of them will be a MUST do work, before making any type of business. You can tell me, ok, but I do not know how to do a business plan? Ok. There are thousands of books, institutions, organizations that help you do your business plan, entrepreneur groups and events and more.

If anyone reads this, and at least applies one piece of advice, I will have reached my objective with this post.

Wish you luck,

Robert

well you need planning but too much planning will kill you. most likely you just have to find a potential market, create a product or service then advertise to your targeted groups....

of course you need to do some financial projections and how much money you really need, do you need staff or solo, what kind of cost you need to bear.

what if you are failed, any contingencies... etc....

that's what I think

Default Interesting post

In the economic struggles that we face today this post caught my eye.

Starting a new business right now is risky. Just like starting a new business in good times. So what makes a new business successful? I think that being innovative is every important. Small things like having an informative website will be helpful to your clients or customers. You have to find a nitch in the market that is being demanded but not being fully supplied.

You need to make sure you look at things like price, place, promotion, and placement of your product. The reason that most businesses fail is not because they do not have a great idea nor because they cannot sale their product, it is because they do not keep track of their finances. Remember cash is king!

Hope this helps

Risk is something that at any time someone faces when starting a business. If you havent through it through then yeh it can be a bit more risky during a time such as a recession like this but none the less if your idea has been throughtly though about and planned, the market has been targeted and there is a potiential to make a nice profit it may be worth that risk.

Cash may be king but so are loyal customers that want to keep coming back for another product you have. Customer Service is another huge issue, being lack there of so make sure if your planning to start something that you follow through with fantastic service to your customers. Offer them fun things like a contest and a forum to talk to other program members. This is something i enjoy doing myself and currently working with others to do, because its fun and offers something for free so whats the catch, nothing they have more incentive to check it out.

First, think of the feasibility of the business that you want to establish. Then prepare a plan also consider your financial capacity if you are financially capable of starting that business.
