Forum not making a lot of money... help.
I have an education forum. It's got an active member base and lots of posts but it isn't making a lot of money from the CPM ads that I've got on it. I'm afraid to use affiliate marketing because I don't want my members to be turned off by blatant promotion.
How do I make money from my forum, or are forums just not profitable?

You place banner ad and google ad in top, middle and let of your site. I am sure you will get income by doing this.

Get you site good rankings by SEO on high traffic keywords then you can sell banner or texts ads on it.

Some really good suggestions by other members here, though I really don't have first-hand experience with this, some of the good forums I've seen do have their own way of promoting ads on their forums, mostly rotating banners and even rotating ads.
If the discussion and community you've developed in your forums is strong enough, I doubt that'll affect their perception and view of your site. Though that's just an opinion.

I think you need to get more visitor to your Forum. It will help you to earn a good money. I have my own blog. I am earning about min $5 per day.

hi, i saw your post and saw that you needed a reliable source of making money online?
A while back i came across a site which solved the fiancial problems in my life.

If you are not getting enough amount then i will suggest you to rank your forum with competitive keywords by doing the some promotional activities. Once you got the ranking then you can go for banner advertising which is the best way for online earning.

without knowing your forum i can't say anything . but If your forum is popular with PR5 or more then you can add some local ads as banner . Or you can sell e-books .
