How to make money by offering free hosting ?

Hello,

As the title goes can anyone explain as to how free hosting site's make money. I ask this cause I am thinking of starting something like it as I have got some space on my host lying unused.

Its so simple you offer to someone a blog or website to host and as an administrator you could utilize them by posting ads over those on behalf of your free services.

Yes I agree with you. However as you know the majority of the free hosts providing hosting these days do not have any kind of forced advertisements. How do such hosts make money ?

Ads are annoying, you should give them free hosting for 1 year and start changing then.They will already get used to your service and will be too lazy to switch hosting.
