Default how much ($$) lost to pop-up blockers

I wonder how much affiliate revenue is lost due to pop-up blockers. It would be nice to have some idea of what percentage of users on a particular site do not even see the ads.

I read that you shouldn't even use the word "ad" in your code. Especially when you are naming your files to run banners, links, whatever. I also read that banners should be unique sizes and not the traditional size because that is another way to alert blockers of ads.

It kind of bothers me people using my site for free when they have decided before they come not to buy. I can live with someone coming if they at least see the ads.

I would think probably quite a bit of money is lost. But still if you use them, then it is still another source of revenue. Personally I prefer never to use them.

I never think of it that way. I personally don't like ads on a site and my browser becomes really, really, really slow because of those pesky popups! Just think of it as an extra way of earning money and not your main source of income.

I never use pop-ups on my sites - due to the face that I can't stand all those pop-ups when I'm navigating other sites.

I never use pop up ads. Because it reflect the wrong impression over the visitors.

Pop up ads are annoying. When a user that is familiar with ads visits a site and a pop up comes up...he/she will simply navigate away. Pop ups reduce sales In my Honest Opinion

What antivirus/antispyware/security product do you have on machine? beacause some antivirus/antispyware/security products have blocking methods builtin.
