Default paying for email lead

I used to like to promote programs that gave the user something free and I got paid by the email address. Maybe they got a free bar of soap or a gift certificate or something that encouraged them to offer their email address.

Conversions were good because people like useful free stuff. But lately every time I try to promote these offers, I get complaints from users that the offer is not what it seems.

For instance, the company offering just keeps spawning new screens until they do something, thus making my users angry or they make the user sign up for something but don't tell the promoter and lastly they just plain rip the people off and don't send them their stuff.

I am so fed up with these offers and I think they are becoming a negative to my sites.

To me paying for e-mail lead is not comfortable. I experienced exactly what you said, but you can wait for more response from people.

e-mail leads are pretty gray territory IMO, different if you were looking for mortgage ore real estate leads.

If you want to mine the web for email addresses of people who are likely to buy from you, there are software you can buy that do just that. These programs crawl the web following keywords you punch in. The sites that contain these keywords are listed and the email addresses that come with them listed, too. So you end up with emails from sites that people visit and maintain that are related to your niche. You could also do this manually, by searching out sites related to your niche or frequented by your target audience.

It is batter to use social media rather than email lead.
