is there a strategy to convert online visitors to customers?
I ask this question coz I've read a blog which talks about developing a website's conversion rate. I'm running an online cakes and pastries business (not that big yet! ) and I have live chat operators taking care of orders and inquiries (they work 24/7).

can you share to me any tips on how to convert my potential visitors to customers? thank you!!

It's difficult to say without seeing your site.
You obviously need something that's professional, offers a secure checkout and really makes the customer want to make a purchase right now.

I changed my background from a bluish color to white and am noticing an uptick in sales. You just never know. I think it looks more professional. That's all I can attribute it to. It could just be a fluke too. Time will tell.

Increasing your site's chances of making buyers out of visitors depends on many factors, including your site's niche. It's hard to recommend much without seeing your site or knowing about your niche product. If you take the Apple website, you can see how clean it is and how focused the site is. The text are focused and doesn't overwhelm. After you read some features, you are offered to read more features or click on a link to purchase it. It's very intuitive, the navigation.

Realistically converting visitors into customers can improve depending on a number of factors.
This includes quality of your products/services, quality of your website, prices of your products, quality of where the visitors are coming from, etc.

Sure, you can turn visitors into customers. One way is to offer discounts to these visitors when they sign up or order. Post the discount banner at the top most section of your website so that it is visible. In this way, the discount will be the first one they'll see and they'll be encouraged to browse your website.

It depends on your site layout and offers. Some sites look appealing and offer good and free stuff to their users. Users come back and become permanenet customer. So can you plz give site URL so we can decide what techniques can be played to convert your visitors into customers which is possible obviously.

I think this can be possible. If you can provide them the best offer and the goods or services that they need, they will become a customer from visitor.

If you could provide peoples references on the products you sell, it would probably help a great deal - and then also check to see if there is something in the checkout fase which makes people go away ? To many clicks to go through with buying ?

Try adapting new services and offers strategy . Offer free gifts , however quality of the product is the key because you would never want your existing customers to leave you. So pay equal heed to them as well . Offer discounts on bulk items/purchases . Try something new , its human tendency to look out for new things .

I think the best practice to do it is to see what exactly your customer looking for your presentation provides the best value.

It's a pain, but heavy A/B testing (if you have enough traffic), is critical. The smallest tweaks can make a huge difference.

Useful contents, customer-friendly website design and reliable payment methoeds, all these can help you raise transfer rate, but the key point is you got high quality product or service.

There are some strategies for improving the conversion rate but the most important one is to tell your visitor what you want the to do. You can lead them to the buy now buttons with arrows and text that is clear about what they need to do right now! Go to the big yellow button and click it! Click Here for Instant Access! Get the delicious pastries you see here! Click Here to Order! and so on.
Good luck, Rosalyn

Try offering a free cake recipe. Use a autoresponder along with a submit form to capture their name and email address. Build your list into the hundreds and even thousands. Then start marketing your business to your cake loving list. Moola!
