If you are saying about link building, charges are too high. If you are saying about leads, then I would suggest you to join some company on regular basis. It is very hard to keep the referral account on the track.

Do a search for "Traffic Splash" this is a Traffic Exchange, they pay 1$ per lead + some special bonuses you can win.
You can make a lot of money as Cost Per Action affiliate. This means you get paid for actions your visitors complete, lke fill out a form.

Recurring program looking to price correctly for market
I have a membership program with a recurring monthly fee to belong. I want to give affiliates incentive to present this to their lists and market it. What is the going %? I was thinking of offering 30%, some offer only 10% or 20%. Am I off, or what would enthuse affiliates to present this?

You can try shareasale,
They pay through paypal, and other services
But, find out if they have it where you live first...

Not 100% sure if SAS pays via paypal even they they say it on their site as a payout option. I remember they had a paypal payout option over 5 or so years ago, but they didn't pay via paypal as something happened or something.
Maybe it's changed now and they do pay via paypal also.

Search a Sale Paying Option
Actually you're right...
They pay through Direct Deposit, or they Mail the Check
Those are the 2 options I think...

If you have the money to invest in Google or some of the other search engines pay-per-click programs you can make some money. Here you create an ad or ads relevant to your affiliate program, and place a bid on the keywords you select. This takes time, energy, persistence and money - and research. Also, I would advise that you read your affiliate programs rules, as well as, the rules of Google Adwords before jumping into the pay-per-click arena. You usually have to put "aff" after your ad or something similar to that - it's dependent upon the affiliate program you are in. The idea with pay-per-click is that you pay only when the individual clicks on your ad.

Big money doesn't come from thinking inside the box.
Make some real life connections (in person) with some large ticket vendors and essentially become a sales rep for them.

Pay per click
You would have to find a company willing to pay that much! Be sure and post it when you find it!

The link building charges are very high, and consequently, it is very hard to keep a good track of the accounts. Therefore, you can have a look at the CPA networks.

The best PAY-PER-LEAD WebWorker affiliate programs: PAY-PER-LEAD affiliate programs benefit you in that each time someone on your web site clicks on a banner or textual link AND they then take some action such as filling out a form or downloading something....you get paid.
