Need help with domain extension/ TLDS

Hey guys,

I plan on buying a couple of .info domains as I find them pretty cheap. I could buy them for a while and then sell them at a greater price or develop them.
I have heard that the domain name is one of the major factors that contribute to the ranking of the site. So will having a .info site help or create problems for me? Will it help in getting indexed or gain high ranks and traffic? I really would appreciate if you could shed some light on these topics. I welcome any opinions.

.info will not really be that bad for SEO. I own a .info (http://linuxconsultant.info), and it gets good SEO. I believe the PR is 3 or 4.

The extension will not matter. Google likes .info just as much.

Think that you will make right decision to register .info domain.
I consider Eurodns.com company to be the best for domain name registration service.
They offer nice discounts.
