Default Multiple domain names

Does it matter if you have a single site with multiple domain names ? I know this is common. I am just curious if this has an effect on your search engine ranking because of content duplication.

Are you just redirecting those domain names to your main website? If so then that doesn't matter. If you are using the same exact content and putting a site up under multiple domain names then that will cause you to get dinged for duplicate content. Why would you use the exact same content under multiple domains if you don't mind me asking?

You can have your own legitimate business name as your domain name. In the same way you can have another domain name of your choice. You are just redirecting the rest of your domain names to one site.

I have one domain which I get freely . But I am not developing site under it. So, I parked it to existing site.
Is it cause problem? I never think of it. I just parked it instead of going waste. It's not worth able domain just registered few months ago.

No, it is not going to cause you any problems if you are just redirecting it to your other site. I do that with a lot of my spare domains that I am still thinking up ideas for, and I have never had a problem once I was ready to develop them.

Search engines do not penalize your site if you use the .htaccess redirect of your Apache web server. Otherwise search engines consider the case site duplication.

yeah its not matter that you regiser several domains and direct them to a single site . It is good idea because most of the site there is an unique domain name available for registeration so you register it and redirect it to your particular site through this way you can gain more traffic as well .
