Cheapest domain names
Yahoo offers popular domain names (.COM, .NET, .ORG, etc.) at $1.99 each for the first year ($2.99 inclusive of service fee). Netfirms' rate is $4.95 . Do you know of other registrars which offer lower domain name registration fee?

Well I think Go Daddy is still offering the 99 cent special for the .info names. I almost got caught up in the frenzy and bought a load of them.
But then I thought, I own hundreds of .coms just sitting there idle, why should I add another load to it - LOL.
Anyway, I am sure millions of domains were sold. There seems to be a glut of .info sites these days.

I got several .INFO domain names from Registerfly for less than $1. If it were not suspended by ICANN, it could also be a source of cheap domain names. I also got from the same registrar less than $5 domain transfer service inclusive of renewal.

Registerfly is not only suspended, they completely lost their ICANN accreditation and they aren't getting it back. That company is in a huge legal mess with all kinds of crazy allegations. I feel sorry for people that have valuable domains there and can't get them out.

They were a very popular domain registrar which was mainly due to the very low rates that they offered for domain registration. They were having problems keeping their books straight and now ICANN has pulled their license and all the domains are being transfered to other registrars.

Yeah they went completely bell-up. I use GoDaddy for all my registrations. I find it easy to use with a quick customer service response time, and they're cheap as well!

The catch I think is you can't transfer your domain name. You have to renew your domain name with the registrar whose renewal rate is higher than the average rate.

I have heard that registry fly is after all not the best of the domain registrars. When a person is buying a domain he should look for the best and trusted registrars and should not think about shelling out an extra buck or two.

Problem with all of these sales is that you really pay for it when the domain autorenews. Thats why I like 1and1 because their non-sale prices are usually the best

.info is always been the cheapest even here in Philippines. So cheap to purchase but it costs hundred folds to sell it again.
