Default additional services

How do you treat domain registration services as an additional service. Many companies (say ServerPoint.com) offer it. I mean when you are going to host your web site, you may reg a domain with them too.
So what do you feel about that?

I see nothing's bad in that. It's rather convenient to have reg a domain with na company and then have hosting from them. Moreover, ServerPoint.com is the reputable company and they are ICANN-accredited. Go ahead.

Thanks for your reply, guy.
I didn't know that they are ICANN-accredited. ServerPoint.com must be a big comapny and their annual turnover is no less than $70 000. Do they provide only generic domains? Any coupons on their services?

I guess it's rather convenient to use services and reg domains with one company. ServerPoint.com is old enough not to be afraid of losing your business being their client.

* The catchier the phrase you plan to choose as your domain name the better it would be for the human memory to remember and recall your website rather than face an error and feel that either your company or your corporate website do not exist.
* It must be well descriptive of your business/domain/industry and opting for short-forms and acronyms should be avoided at all times. Allow Magnon to conduct a thorough research and analysis to offer you a basket of suggested main key-phrase related domain names from which you can easily select the one that most closely corresponds to your requirements.
* While the length of characters that can comprise your domain name can go to a maximum limit of 67 characters, it is highly recommended that your domain name does not exceed more than two words to avoid confusion and spelling mistakes on the website users’ end.
* In-case your domain name needs a demarcation or differentiation tool between the 2-3 words present in your domain name, always choose a Hyphen (-) as it really attracts the Search Engines as the presence of hyphens forces the global search engines to treat them separately and increases your chances of appearing high on your domain-name related key-phrases along with facilitating user and traffic comfort.
* There are many extensions available in the internet market like .net, .biz, .edu, .ca, .in, co.uk, .au, .org, .us etc. Nowadays search engines treat all extensions alike but what is more important is to put all your research into zeroing down to that one most-specific industry-related key phrase as your domain name, which can really provide you a edge in terms of search engine friendliness.

If you want to check services of a company before obtaining a domain, for this purpose some organizations have special trial offer.

You have raised a very good question. I also had the same question. Thanks for clearing my doubt.

Maybe it will be better to ask it again?

A domain name is an identification label that defines a realm of administrative autonomy, authority, or control in the Internet. Domain names are also hostnames that identify Internet Protocol (IP) resources such as web sites. Domain names are formed by the rules and procedures of the Domain Name System (DNS).
