How to maintain the quality of my directory?

Hi all,

I am running a directory called linksbucket.com

I only accept those websites who are good quality... by saying good quality I mean sites with original and helpful content, well designed/organized, not MFA sites.

I further check (before submitting sites) that how many pages of the site are indexed by search engines, how many links they are already gettingg, what is their current pagerank.

Is this the correct way of maintaining the quality of my directory? Any suggestion for me?

Tell me what things should I consider before accepting new site to be submitted in my directory?
