NEED DIRECTORY SUBMISSION GUIDELINES For Dmoz

Well friends today I need your help.I have been trying to get my website submitted to the DMOZ directory for the last 6 months.The submission process is as follows.You read the rules and guidelines and submit your website to the directory manually.Once the submission is done a message is flashed across the screen that reads "Your submission has been approved .It will be reviewed by an administrator before it is added to our list."After this is done another message props up as a hint saying that for quicker reviewing of your website it is advisable that you sign up as an editor to dmoz as the review might take up to 4-6 weeks.Signing up as an editor will get the review done faster.Once you sign up as an editor the message is flashed again saying "your request will be reviewed by an already existing editor before being accepted."This might take upto 4-6 weeks.

As it is I am tired and have lost ideas as to how I could get my website listed on Dmoz. Kindly help me.

Getting listed within Dmoz is rather hard for most people. If you are an editor then you normally have an advantage as some editors submit their own sites to Dmoz.

I personally wouldn't worry about Dmoz to much and just move onto getting your site listed on other sites that will accept it. Some people had submitted sites going back around 4 years ago and are still waiting for approval.

I can attest to that. First it takes ages then you get turned down then you start again. If I hadn't kept reading that it was a good place to be listed in I would have given up months ago.

It can take several months to get listed. Best way to submit is to make sure your site is top notch quality. When submitting it is best to follow their directions exactly. Don't go overboard with keywords in the title and description. Make it short and sweet. Look at other listings in your category for ideas.

thanks for sharing i already submit my site with DMOZ guidelines but they still didn't approved my site yet and i already wait for 10+ months. it's will tack too much time.

Why is the Dmoz directory so important? I have noticed that it doesn't accepts our submissions. Then why people waste their time in submitting to dmoz directory. However, other directories are there which are most effective to increase your website traffic, rank and popularity.

I am not interested to much in DMOZ submission,

Because this directory take long time to approve and also there are very high competition in approval.

There are no any special rules. All rules are generally basics like ..... submit hompage, site should not be under construction etc.

If you have quality site and also optimized submission details then you can get sure approval in DMOZ but after long time.

Dmoz takes very very long to approve. If you want your site to get approved in DMOZ submit your site in proper category only. And don't submit it agin and agin. just once.

I would like to suggest you that don't keep on submitting your site again and again as in this way it will be taken as a new site every-time and thus it will be appended to the end of the queue.
