Default directory submission

Hi everyone! I'm quite confused about the pacing in doing directory submission. How often should you do directory submission? Up to what number of submissions should you do to prevent you from being called as spam?

I don't think it's 'spam' it's just making your site look activer, getting more hits to your site ect.

Why would that be spam?

Explain?

I've read somewhere that you should submit the same link to up to 20 directories; otherwise you'll be called a spammer. Also, submission should be done at a normal pacing.

Is this true?

AffiliateSeeking will become famous soon enough
How I see things is that if you want to get your site some exposure, then you need to get your site listed on other sites. The quicker you do this the quicker you will get the exposure and traffic. This is only for direct traffic though and may not help you in the search engines.

If you are not using automated ways to submit links and you are submitting your sites properly by following the directories rules then I wouldn't think it would be a problem with them.

I'm absolutely doing everything manually. I'll take your advice on this.

Send a message via MSN to LinkPopularity
it keeps amazing me how easily people tend to panic ...

are you a Russian group of 20 guys creating 10.000 links each and every day ?

no ?

well, get real !

if you ever get banned you should be proud !

really, you really think you get noticed if you do like 200-300 subs a day ?

get real !

in fact Google advices to do directory submissions !

an other thing is that most directories take along time before they review your submissions, so even if you do 1.000 submissions in just 1 day, then the links will only show up over a period of 6 months

relax !

You have a point LinkPopularity. Perhaps sometimes I'm too busy worrying about how to do things right but then again, if I'm asking some people about something, that doesn't mean I'm doing the wrong thing.

Correct! In our aim to automate things all other problems follow. But then sometimes we can't just beat the time thus we aim to work faster than normal thinking that this will give us more than what we basically need. This points to us one dilemma -- to automate stuff or not?

Default hello

I think the maximum number of directory you submit will benefit your website.

Can you elaborate on that jerry? Are you referring to the end result?
