Why you are looking for directories, i think blog comments are very useful than directories.

Blog comments are useful thats really true but there are still some quality directories with high page rank which can really handy for ranking high in SERPs.

You can submit at any reciprocal link directory which has the dofolow attribute.
Usually, free link have nofollow attribute .

i think you are trying to all sources of link building techniques like blog commenting,forums posing and also directory submission.directory submission is a good way to build some back links but they may be not quality back links.using other sources for link building would give some quantity of back links to your site.
