Do you pay for Links?
Hey,
I'm wondering how many of you pay for links in directories? I used to have a PR4 directory and out of 4000 sites submitted to it only about 3 paid the $3 to get a featured link which didn't seem that great

So far, all my links are free. I have no plans of buying paid links. That's because I'm on a tight budget.

I tend to look for directories that offer free submissions rather then payed ones. My site doesn't generate much revenue so I can't really afford to be paying for directory spots.

Not me!
Hi
No I don't pay for link in directories, the main reason being that I heard Google are starting to penalise websites that do that since about Sept 2007. Besides it can start to get expensive.

I pay for links - site-wides, directories, reviews, etc. Only paid links that manipulate PR and SERP are the ones that google frowns at. Paid links can also be good sources of traffic - depending on which site you buy that link from

I always go for regular links instead of featured ones. I don't pay for links but thinking of doing it ahead if the quality is good.

When I first started making money online, I paid for my first few directory listings, waited a few months to see the results, and got about 1 to 2 visitors in them 3 months, decided that the cost was not worth it as there was better and cheaper ways of marketing or doing SEO.

I sometimes pay for links in quality directories with high PR. I think one has to allow 10-20 quality links.

I don't pay for buying links because:
- Google does not like that.
- Don't know how quality those directories are.

I have never paid for any links before. Why pay when I can get it for free.
Most now know that links from directories don't offer much value anymore and maybe that's why the number of people paying for links on web directories are so few. But you may have a better chance if your site is a PR4 blog.

Do not waste money to buy links on sub-pages in a directory as it will not bring you much benefit!
It you can afford, just buy a link on a homepage PR5 upward! It will be much better!

No, we do not pay for links. Don't buy links from any source. Always go for natural links. For more details visit 123-seo.

I would say that's at the high end of the price range for a PR3. I have seen this as a rough estimate of the current monthly market price:
PR 2-3 $8.00 to $10.00
PR 3-4 $10.00 to $30.00
PR 4-5 $24.00 to $40.00
PR 5-7 $35.00 to $65.00
PR 8-9 $50.00 to $120.00

in my opinion pay for links is not a good way for your site promotion and optimization.you are trying to get more back links with your own effort.because they are not quality back links and it is time consuming and money waste activity.there are various sources are available to new web designers for getting quality back links like blog commenting, forums posting with your signatures and social bookmarking etc.

Sometimes I also pay for it. But I just do that when my site has a high competition in ranking on Google!
