Dmoz is very slow.
Dmoz is very slow because it never apporves me, I had submitted 6 months ago. I think they a loads of website to approve thats why they have no time to approve new approvals.

Yea im in the same boat, i applied months and months ago and not even had an email saying if i got in or not. So i dont know what happened there but like you say they probably get overwhelmed with new links so dont have time to get them all.
I have steered away from doing directories and SEO and starting affiliate marketing to see how that goes to give me a change

Its a real wastage of time to apply these days. if you've got 300$ to spare go get a yahoo dir listing.

Yeah, Im on the same road... The first time I applied to DMOZ, im talking about the year 2000, it took two years to be accepted. I have other sites today, and they are reaching six months since the time I applied.

So far I never have a site included in DMOZ. Always fails and after sometimes I just quit trying.

Yes Dmoz is a slow directory and it takes much time to accept a website, as it is manually checked every submission. Most of the time people submit and they just have to wait, when their site will be approved?

Im starting to wonder if DMOZ is worth it. Their link directory is small and even with their standards it seems they are keeping too many good sites out. It could be just my perception but thats what i have noticed lately.

It is true, but that's exactly why it has a high authority in Google' eyes.
It indeed has a high standard of accepting sites.

Suggest your URL to dmoz and then forget it. Don't stuck with dmoz. Keep building high pr links from high pr directories.

Most of DMOZ admins control their personal niche so if they see competition from you, they will NEVER approve you. I tried to get approved for 2-3 years...

Yeah getting approved in DMOZ is like a story. You have to wait for months and months and still they do not approve any websites.
