These are the worst types of directories in terms of passing any value from a link. It is the directories which are human edited and more difficult to get into which are the best. See this video from Matt Cutts which confirms this:

People can only post what they know of, and Directory Critic is a good source that is updated. But if you don't like it (or anthing else suggested here) you could always search for yourself.
