Getting approval from DMOZ is unpredictable!
Since DMOZ is a volunteer project and the editors take a lot of time to review sites, it can take anywhere from "minutes to a few years”.
What you can do is to ensure that your website abides DMOZ guidelines.
Tips for quick approval:
- Submit your site to the most specific category once and only once
- Submit if and only if your website has original, legal and high-quality content
- Check out for any broken/ dangling links
- Create a perfect site suggestion (short URLs, official name as the title, well-written description)
- Include complete contact information
- Do not inquire into the status of your suggestion time and again

I think the most important thing you forget here that is email id: always use domain based email id for fast approval.

Submit your site in the most appropriate category and then forget. DMOZ approval is highly unpredictable.

It is difficult to get approval form dmoz because dmoz receive website for some categories only, but if our site get approval on dmoz then it is very helpful for our ranking.

yup i too waiting for the approval from dmoz. i had submitted good quality content and the most appropriate category. but still i am waiting for the approval from dmoz. letss seeeeee....

Dmoz is really very popular directory and everyone want to get listing there but it take some time for approval. It only approved quality and spam free sites.
