i think yahoo and dmoz both are useless now. they don't approve the free sites. they are now paid .

BOTH ARE EQUALLY BETTER!
Getting listed in DMOZ is difficult but its worth an effort. Once listed in DMOZ, you can get quality backlinks which will boost your SERPs.
Yahoo directory is a paid directory which is why few people opt for it. But it improves your visibility in Yahoo to a great extent.

I am agree with your point. Yahoo Directory is paid and very costly and Dmoz listing is totally free.

Both are important in terms of SEO but Yahoo is a paid directory and Dmoz offers free submission. Still I recommend to pay few bucks as Yahoo directory have much importance.

i think both are not good ,once i submitted my site in yahoo for free but it didn't approved my site link i think it is good only when you pay them.......
