but this kind directory is difficult to submit it, so sometimes i give up this promotion way.

Good tips! Directoiries are useful but those which can give instant approvals and indexed fast in google and you need to choose such directories which are able to give backlinks to the site and they should have high PR too.

what I hate most about directory submission is their period of approval.
If a directory is moderated, cahnces are that it will be search engine friendly but the period of approval is what freaks me and on the other hand, if a directory isn't moderated, that makes it a spam and search engines might start to count it as a link farm which might hurt your site for getting a link from it.

Paid directories are obviously expected to be well maintained and hence seems like an important point .
