Windows vs UNIX

Windows and UNIX websites can be accessed internationally by everybody. The main difference exists in the software provided to the host servers data. Windows most always provides the best software and services in all of its purposes. It is a very reliable operating system and its programs are effective and functional but UNIX remains a little ahead in these areas due to increased stability and the ability to run long periods of time without rebooting. At the same time, in the modern world Windows meets the needs of its users better than UNIX.

Wherever there are Microsoft products such as MS Access databases, ASP for delivering content, and Vb Script site enhancements you will need to create your site with Windows. UNIX is not compatible with those systems. If your web host uses them you must comply and use Windows even if you normally do not. The things that UNIX provides can be found already available in the Windows environment.

Thanks for the info. In reality, people commonly used Windows OS and other Windows based applications. But still the Unix is trying to reach the number of Windows users. The potential is there, the thing is people usually rely and use what they used and been told them to use.

Linux hosting is good for php based websites. It is cheaper than windows hosting.

Yes I agree with you completely. Although I feel that UNIX is more secure but as far as easiness and comfort zone is considered then I would say that Windows is far far better.

I guess that Unix time passed away and it can be a real rival to Windows as well. Their competition was actual in the 90's, but not today and popularity of Windows is clear and obvious for many users. To say more some users even don't know what is Linux at all.

Despite the fact that Windows is user friendly, UNIX is better because it provides ultimate security to the computer data. You can see the difference by deploying servers in both operating systems

I maximum use Windows and as my experience it is a best OS and I have little use of UNIX but I hear loud of Unix.

Yeah i agree that windows is easy and more used in industry practice. Unix is hard to learn and operate.
