What is the best anti virus software to get?
I am getting a new Dell laptop. I am spending about $1,400 on it and want to make sure it last and remains fast. I want to get a good anti virus software for it but don't want it to slow my computer down, but I do want it to fully protect my laptop from viruses and hackers. I am willing to pay money for it so whatever the best anti virus there is is what I want. I will have windows 7 professional on it as well.

The best antivirus I have found is avast. It can protect your PC from all threats and viruses. The most amazing thing about Avast is it never affects the speed of the PC.

I am using 2 different anti virus software.
the avira use in our personal computer and symantec endpoint protection installed on servers. both are very efficient.

Quick heal anti virus I used most of time in my office computer because there are most important data and files in my computer but McAfee antivirus is at my home based computer but both are well for system security.

Lavasoft Ad-Aware is very good. I find if to be very good software. Detects malware very good.

I'm sure that the price of your laptop is serious and you have no abilities to spend more money for antivirus. So I recommend you not to worry about and just take the most acceptable one according to the price and functions.

I think Avast Internet Security is the best otherwise you can use AVG, Norton etc.

BitDefender is something you should definitely try as from reviews online itself, it's claimed to be the best anti virus out there on the market. I for one am using it and am definitely more than contented with it rather than the other anti viruses out there.

i am using avast. it gives me all pc and internet security and i got it free of cost. so my recommendation is Avast

I wold like to go with AVAST and KasperSky but please don't go with AVG as I have personal experience with it.

I've heard a lot of good stuff for BitDefender but haven't tried it yet. I am using AVG free version but want to try out Comodo Internet Security (which is free, btw) as it looks like a good all in one solution.
