Default Anyway to get an XP disk without paying?

My laptop came loaded with XP so I have a valid key but the recovery disk they gave me was faulty and since its out of warranty Im out of luck. Im using BB ubuntu right now and it sucks to say the least, anyone have suggestions on how to get either a XP disk or an ISO?

On a similiar note, would it be legal to download a torrent of XP and install it on my laptop since I already own the software?

No, it wouldn't be legal to download a torrent of XP. There are ways you could get XP for free, but none of them are legal. Where did you buy your laptop from? I know Dell will sell you a system restore CD for around $35 if you give them a valid product number (or whatever it's called) that's attached to their pcs.
