Back up software

Hi guys I have an old desktop PC with windows XP and a broad brand connection. My issue is that my I keep on getting attacked by viruses and as the last option I have to format my HDD. So I want to know is there any back up software that can back my drive automatically so I don’t have to bother my data every time.

Any help would be highly appreciated.

I believe you can make images of your hard disks and burn em but never did that and can't tell you how to do it!
