Norton is ranked among the best, but right now I'm using Kaspersky. It's pretty fast and user-friendly. If you want to go free, AVG not too bad. I've used AVG for a while and it protects my computer just fine

Yea you get what you pay for in todays world, i think he best free software i have found is the trend trial and then AVG, it has always worked for me. Im not sure on the best paid software as i never have bought an anti virus.

I got free norton with my laptop and that seems to be ok but i dont tend to go on many sites that would attract virus's as i only use for work purposes

NOD32 is the best antivirus package you can get.
You can even carry it on a USB stick.

AntiVirus and AntiSpyware are necessary if you download and try a lot of stuff on the web.

Yes, you can't be online unprotected. You need an antivirus and antispyware program. If you don't want to pay for it, download the free versions. Free programs are better than not have any protection.

I would recommend NOD32 aswell, as it does the job pretty efficiently and i am satisfied with the results!
AVG is the second choice for those who are interested.

Well I don't know the best, but I know that AVG Internet Security 7.5 is one of the best, never had problems with this fantastic anti virus. But remember anti virus on it's own is not good enough! Remember firewalls and anti spyware.

I will advise people to go for avast. It is free and has a good support service and scan all type of viruses.
It is as good as many of the paid anti-virus so why should we spend money.

I dont think that one can really say which is the best antivirus at all. It keeps on changing everytime. When i downloaded norton i thought that it was the best. Then a certain virus got hold of my PC and norton was unable to do anything so i downloaded mcafee and thought it was the best. Now i am using kaspersky and think that this is the best.

Currently I use Kaspersky Anti-Virus. I've tryed Panda, NOD32, BitDefender but i choose KAV
Is very stable, safe, easy to use, upgradable and he don't use many resources.
