Default Backing up Firefox bookmarks

Anyone know how to back up Mozilla FireFox's bookmarks. I've a huge collection of bookmakrs and now I need to format my PC and I dont want to lose those.

Any ideas?

First make sure that you have enabled to show hidden files and folder.
Then follow this path:
X:\Documents and Settings\username\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles
where X is drive on which windows installed and username is your name on compute. Here you can see only one folder ended with name ".default"
Enter in it and copy "bookmarks.html" and "bookmarks.bak" for backing up bookmark.
Next time you want to restore bookmark simply replace existing one by these and restart browser.

that a nice tip, thank you very much.

i hate it when firefox deletes my bookmarks, and in last time this happens quiete often.

Right because in India we suffers alot of power cuts, Because of these powercuts i losses my history and backups. Now i will make my backup too, thanks subodh!

Now that is a really good tip. i did not know you can back up the bookmarks for firefox. I have lost mine 5 times now. Thanks now i could have a back up for my bookmarks.
