Default computer security?

How can you ensure your computer security? I am using two firewalls. Is that enough? Windows default, sygatte personal firewall. Also, please tell me how to avoid spywares?

Are you using any anti virus software? I suggest you use AVG antivirus.

It has a free versions and it protects PC against most attacks.

I am currently using two anti-virus software, they are AVG and McAfee. They both work fine and they both prevent me from having spyware.
I try to have a full system scan once a month.

I've been a long time user of AVG Free. Right now I'm trying out Kaspersky. It does a way faster scan than AVG, and it supposedly has a higher percentage of detecting viruses and virus threats. It's also supposed to be extremely user friendly but I'm having just a little bit of a hard time adjusting to it since I've been using AVG for a long while. I don't know if I'll stick with it or go back to AVG.

I also use adaware and WinDefender for antispyware.

Hello Friend,
There are specifically designed software’s for email security, internet privacy, and computer safety. Firewall Software, Antivirus, Pop-up Blockers, Spam/junk box, Anti-Hacking Software, Crack-Proof software are some of the basic means to protect computer data.

Thanks,
James

Computer security is a branch of computer technology known as information security as applied to computers and networks. The objective of computer security includes protection of information and property from theft, corruption, or natural disaster, while allowing the information and property to remain accessible and productive to its intended users. The term computer system security means the collective processes and mechanisms by which sensitive and valuable information and services are protected from publication, tampering or collapse by unauthorized activities or untrustworthy individuals and unplanned events respectively. The strategies and methodologies of computer security often differ from most other computer technologies because of its somewhat elusive objective of preventing unwanted computer behavior instead of enabling wanted computer behavior.

Any security depends on your wishes and spyware's abilities. To my mind we can't get rid of It.

Hi,

Computer and network security, or cybersecurity, are critical issues. But merely protecting the systems that hold data about citizens, corporations, and government agencies it is not enough. The infrastructure of networks, routers, domain name servers, and switches that glue these systems together must not fail, or computers will no longer be able to communicate accurately or reliably. Given the magnitude of securing cyberspace, a reflection on what we are trying to do seems in order. Several questions arise, such as what exactly the infrastructure is, what threats it must be secured against, and how protection can be provided on a cost-effective basis. But underlying all these questions is how to define a secure system. What is security? Having it is obviously good; everyone says so. But few people define it exactly, or even nebulously. This column tries to place cybersecurity in perspective, because it is, of course, central to countries, organizations, and even home users now and in the future.

Your Regards,
Devesh..

If you are using a good Internet security like Avast Internet Security or AVG Internet Security than you don't have to worry about your computer security.
