Default Wordpress Or Joomla?

What do you recommend? Does the future lies with Wordpress or Joomla?
I have a client who doesn't know what to do.

Can anyone help?

I would go for wordpress if you would like your client to be able to update the site themselves - I used both and joomla is still a nightmare with all that categories etc -

I would suggest to go to Wordpress because it includes many features and most especially it is a user friendly application.

Joomla programming and website designing is for advance users. But Wordpress is for common web enthusiasts. So Wordpress has more potential to grow.

Hi

Wordpress is very rich with application and usability. It is easy to use and attractive.

On the other hand joomla is lesser known but used by professionals as it has high capability due to open source.

It is good to make an account on wordpress.

Thanks to read

Regards

According to last researches there are few millions of blogs on internet. Most of bloggers have chosen autonomous blogs as platform for directing net journal. Most popular among them are WordPress Themes.
WordPress Themes are perfect for blogs. They are available in few languages.
After user is registered for the service he can start editing the journal. It's important that if the service stopped satisfying you, you can export records and comments in XML format.
The distinguishing feature of WordPress themes is very useful window for creating new records. WP is SEO-friendly, so I'dsuggest you to pick a WP.

Cheers!

I would suggest you to use the wordpress as wordpress is one of the leading CMS available and also it is user friendly. Wordpress is used primarily by bloggers but it can still be used as a general CMS it is available for free from Wordpress.org. It feature contains fast and easy to installation, 1000's high quality themes and plug-ins, good visual content editor.

I am using Joomla despite having no programming or web designing skill. Though I have not used Wordpress. I find Joomla easy to understand.

There are three types of CMS are available, drupal, joomla and wordpress. I would go with Joomla as it is an open source solution that is easily and freely available to people. It has good features and it is user friendly too.

I use both Joomla and the paid hosted version of Wordpress. I prefer Joomla because it more closely resembles a content management system. No matter how cool a template I find, I still view Wordpress as a just a blog.

Hi, I would agree that Wordpress is more geared towards blogging type websites. Joomla is more flexible and you can be a little more creative with it.

if you want blog type of website, then wordpress is right choice for it, but if you want to develop professional shopping cart website or any web 2.0 type website then joomla is good

My vote goes to Wordpress -- easier to use, bigger non-technical community.

This is not a pro-contra review. In this article I try to give you some pointers to make it easy to chose between the two popular content management systems. The basic difference between WordPress and Joomla is that Joomla is a portal- or community type site while WordPress is a blog. Both overlap each other in several areas and can be extended beyond their original purpose thanks to the use of plugins. You can find those plugins almost everywhere on the internet. Both have a large user base with a lively community where tips and tricks are shared. Both are free to use and many hosting providers have them as an option in their web tools section. WP has a large community of volunteer developers, Joomla can count on many commercial add-ons by specialized professionals.
