html vc wordpress

I wonder if everyone would list a reason for staying with html. I am thinking about changing all my websites over to WP and will use my html designs but wonder if things might get lost in the shuffle.

I do not mean the data being lost but positioning, traffic, etc.

Can anyone give valid reasons why I should stay with the html??

i think that this would be a good idea! cms system will make the admin and maintenace process much easier.

but you should take care of seo and already indexed pages .. prevent loosing a good pagerank.

Well a CMS is a much better way to do a website. The great thing about a cms is that although it provides great frontend with themes and plugins it also has a organized backend (for example wordpress).

Wordpress is quite a good CMS solution, what you can do is a 301 redirect from your older pages to the new ones you create in wordpress. This way you wouldn’t loose serps or traffic.

You can also have a look at Drupal. It has some great CMS functionality.

why would you lose HTML when you shift to Word press?? i actually read on their FAQ's i think that you can have HTML pages too..but what the change is that the templates are different and are based on php rather than plain HTML..

i am not an expert on this though i do have a wp blog

If you want to update your site regularly then going for wordpress is a good choice because it will be a lot easier to maintain this way.
But if you have some pretty static content then stay with html.

you wont lose your html designs in the switch but be prepared to do a bit of converting to get your templates working with wp.

Before you make the shift, I suggest you activate plug ins and features that will make your Wordpress site search engine friendly. It is also advisable to update your content.

Firstly install plugins then do anything with html.I don't know actual reason but i thing your plugins is not activated yet.

This really is a matter of preference. Some people prefer to use WordPress, and others like to use HTML. We like to do a mixture of both. Heaven forbid that Google ever plays down on WordPress blogs, we still have our HTML sites, and vise versa. The trick is to not keep all your eggs in one basket.

Agreed. it depends upon the preference which one people want to use. I prefer both.
