how to track sales with clickbank

I want so bad to try some clickbank products. I see a couple that would benefit my users if I knew I would get paid on the sales. I am not worried about CB itself.

But what I notice on the sales pages of the products I would like to promote, is they have sections where they collect the email address and also allow the person to pay through alternate means thereby by-passing your hop link. The ones I wanted were encouraging people to send checks in the mail.

Is there a way to track the "real" sales? How do I know how much I would lose?

You could try the guys who use an affiliate tracking program, that way their products are linked and you can log on and check your sales.
